Principle Quest Foundation

Letting Go after 11 years

on Mon, 2023-12-04 18:31

After 11 years on this journey of joy and learning, I am closing down my foundation, having transferred the monies into a donor advised fund. So much has happened since 2012, including grants to many organizations, 16 retreats, 100+ zoom Check-in's, 50+ Gatherings, publication of the Principle Quest Unwrapped facilitator's guide, and three Gatherings hosted at my home (sometimes it was a bit sweltering!@#)

While I am letting go of facilitating retreats, I remain deeply committed to our remarkable community of women – 150+ stong.

Office Hours with Senator Samra Brouk

on Sun, 2022-01-23 11:50

How often do we have a chance to ask questions of a state senator and hear candid, off-the-record responses? NYS freshman Senator Samra Brouk was our guest at our second Office Hours. From the third rail topic of charter schools to the role of money in elections today, we heard candid and inspiring ideas. Thank you, Senator!

What's Wealth Management have to do with Principle Quest??

on Fri, 2017-09-08 15:31

The 2nd edition of Wealth Management Unwrapped was inspired by my Wall Street relationships over four decades. Early on I discovered clarity on my own principles was essential, and so, for the past five years, the work I'm privileged to do is with women who are Principle Quest-ers, fulfilling my deepest yearnings to make a difference. I owe a great debt of gratitude to many, and these connections are a true treasure of my life! Pictured here signing a book for a pal from Principle Quest, the day before the launch!

Virtual Enterprises International: Experiential Education At Its Best!

on Mon, 2016-02-22 16:44

What students learn when they participate in Virtual Enterprises International (VEI) is extraordinary and well beyond the usual 'jug to mug' economics classroom fare. Principle Quest Foundation gave a modest donation to this entity whose reach is now 500 secondary and post-secondary schools nationwide, serving over 12,000 students annually. Founded in 1996, VEI is an amazing addition to a school's curriculum. I have been honored to be a judge twice in competitions where we witness just how talented students can be when and if given a chance in the 'real' world!

Gathering Explores Competition Versus Collaboration

on Thu, 2015-10-01 12:25

Last month 30 women gathered to explore the question of competition – how, when and why. Questions addressed included: Can you be both a competitor and collaborator? How do you compete – or abdicate? What does it take to 'win?' What lines should not be crossed on the way toward winning? Several women attending were athletes, and in sharing what contributed most to their success, they mentioned focus, discipline and practice, interestingly, identical to what's required for success in any endeavor! Connecting was the ultimate goal of this gathering, and pretense was banned from the evening!
